What is Music Over Mind?

Music Over Mind, Inc. (MOM) is a private non-profit organization dedicated to helping those with mental illness through the art of music. We collaborate with musicians, hospitals, clinics, families and our clients to offer performances, provide music lessons and to help manage the growing artist. This is done through the services of Outreach, Artistry and Artist Management. We provide a supportive, accepting environment in which we believe that through the use of music our clients can use their own creativity, grow and ultimately become healthier.

MOM’s mission is to promote and expand the use of music to assist in the treatment and recovery of those diagnosed with mental illnesses – our clients. The organization is built on the belief that music can be used to heal, encourage, and bring together everyone touched by mental illness, as well as promote a stigma-free environment for our clients as well as their family and support networks.
